Safety Tips for Women Drivers

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

Driving home from work after dark, you notice a vehicle following you closely. Turning down a different street than usual, you can see that the person turns as well. Weaving through an unfamiliar neighborhood you notice that the driver behind you is sticking close and you question his motives. What should you do?

a) Pull over, get out, and confront him?

b) Try to out drive him?

c) Head for home and hope you can get into the house before he catches you?

None of the above is a good idea. Any competitive response is likely to keep your pursuer engaged. How Crash Testing Works

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

There are two forms of safety crash testing that we here about in the media and see the results of on television. The first one, The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, is government sponsored and conducted. In there crash criteria they only are concerned with a frontal crash. The car chosen for the test is a show room model picked at random from the production line. It is then fitted with the very expensive anthropomorphic dummies that are fitted with all kinds of sensors to record the effect of the crash. The car is hooked on to a device in the floor of the test lab like a catapult on an aircraft carrier that will accelerate the car to the desired speed and disconnect the moment just before impact. The car then smashes head on at 35 miles per hour into the fixed barrier. (more…)

Tracking Key GPS Tracking ReviewThe system is ready to go right out of the box. Finding and purchasing the tracking Key was very convenient because we were able to buy it at a local Pep Boys Auto Center.  Just place 2 AAA batteries in the units and place it in the vehicle. Its that simple!  Better yet there is no on/off switch to worry about once the batteries are in the unit on and ready to track.

LandAirSea Systems has incorporated a verity of changes in their new software package for the Tracking Key. Better error checking and a more user friendly interface has greatly improved their software.  Installation is simple.  Just plug the Tracking Key in your computer’s USB port, install the driver, and you can download the information that the unit has gathered.
